Mission Statement

The Public Works Department's mission is to continuously improve city residents' quality of life through responsive, efficient, safe and effective delivery of services to every neighborhood and by reflecting a can-do attitude with our customers.

What We Do

Public Works provides a high level of service to many areas such as streets, drainage, parks, water, sewer, gas and trash collection. In addition to providing these essential services, Public Works supports Tomball's many events and other departments.

In emergency events, Public Works responds when needed and serves a critical role when called. Because of this, the label "Silent Responders" has been used to describe these men and women as they serve alongside emergency personnel.

Public Works employees accept these challenges and perform their duties with the utmost professionalism possible, making this community a better place to live, work, and play.
