Storage too high in storage rooms: If you have a sprinkler system there must be an 18" clearance from the material being stored to the ceiling. If there is no sprinkler system present then this is increased to 24".
Improper Storage in electrical rooms: There should not be any storage within 36" of the electrical panel. There should aso be an unobstructed path to the panel.
Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Systems not inspected annually: Fire alarms and sprinkler systems MUST be inspected annually. The tag should not be yellow or red. This indicates a non-functioning fire suppression or detection system.
Extension Cords used as permanent wiring: Extension cords should only be for for temporary use and not laid in walk paths.
Exit Pathways blocked: All obstructions in halls or doorways need to be moved away from the path of travel.
