Tomball PD Chambers

Albert Chambers

Criminal Investigations Division
Title: Lieutenant
Phone: (281) 290-1318

Lt. Albert Chambers started his career in Law Enforcement with the City of Tomball Police Department in 1993 as a Police Officer assigned to the Patrol Division. Lt. Chambers patrolled the streets until 1996, when he was asked to work as a Tomball ISD Student Resource Officer (SRO). Lt. Chambers initially refused the assignment, stating that he was not a “Kiddie Cop”. Lt. Chambers surprisingly accepted the position for one school year. Lt. Chambers realized the work he was doing and the difference he was making and asked if he could stay another school year.

In 2002, Lt. Chambers promoted to Police Corporal and was reassigned to the Patrol Division. A month later, Lt. Chambers was asked to return to the schools as a SRO Corporal, which he gladly accepted until 2006, when he realized it was time to move on, and promoted to Detective.

In 2017, Lt. Chambers decided after serving the citizens of Tomball for 24 years, it was time to move on to do something different, so he retired with honor. Lt. Chambers went to work for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office as an Investigator. Lt. Chambers was assigned to various misdemeanor and felony prosecutors and assisted them with seeking convictions. Lt. Chambers was also assigned to the Security Detail Unit that provided security for the District Attorney.

In 2020, Lt. Chambers made another career change and went to work for the City of Montgomery Police Department as a Sergent over the Criminal Investigation Division. Lt. Chambers started up that division and successfully ran the division until he decided to return to the City of Tomball Police Department as a Lieutenant over the Criminal Investigations, Property & Evidence, Crime Scene, Records, Courts and Quarter Masters.
