Downtown Tomball was alive with energy on Saturday, March 22 as food lovers and festivalgoers gathered at the Tomball Depot Plaza for the return of Tomball's food truck festival, now known as "Choo Choo Chow Down." The event, previously called "Freight Train Food Truck Festival," was praised for bringing together a diverse lineup of food trucks, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities, and once again delivered a full day of flavor and fun.
Throughout the afternoon, visitors enjoyed a wide selection of food and beverages from local vendors, offering everything from slow-smoked barbecue and gourmet burgers to fresh lemonade and decadent desserts. The event footprint was lined with food trucks, each serving up unique dishes that catered to every taste.
In addition to the culinary experience, Choo Choo Chow Down featured a variety of interactive activities for all ages. Attendees tested their balance on a mechanical bull, played rounds of mini golf, and enjoyed bubble-blowing with Texas Bubblers. Live music performances from Breakfast at Tiffany Band and Reputation - A Tribute to Taylor kept the atmosphere lively, with visitors dancing and singing along throughout the day.
As the day wrapped up, many visitors left with full stomachs and plenty of memorable moments. With the success of this event, the City of Tomball is already looking forward to its next festival, Rails & Tails, which will take place in April and feature live music, activities, and the highly anticipated annual crawfish boil.
