On Saturday, Dec. 7, the Tomball Depot Plaza turned into a winter wonderland as families gathered to celebrate the City’s annual Deck the Depot Tree Lighting event. The festive evening offered a host of activities that created lasting memories and officially marked the start of the holiday season.
Children enjoyed making s’mores, decorating ornaments, and writing letters to Santa, while balloon artists dazzled with creative designs. The trackless train rides brought a touch of adventure for younger attendees, and live music and vibrant dance performances spread holiday cheer across the plaza.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, guests were treated to complimentary hot chocolate and cookies provided by HTeaO and Half Baked Goodness, two amazing local businesses. These sweet treats added an extra layer of warmth to the chilly evening.
The highlight of the night came as Mayor Lori Klein Quinn led the ceremonial lighting of the Depot Christmas tree. As the tree lit up, casting a magical glow over the plaza, the crowd’s cheers embodied the joy and unity of the season.
The City of Tomball extends heartfelt thanks to the vendors, performers, and volunteers who made the event a success. Their efforts created an evening of holiday magic that will be remembered for years to come.
Deck the Depot was a beautiful celebration of community, tradition, and holiday spirit. With the Depot tree twinkling brightly, Tomball eagerly anticipates more exciting events in 2025!
