Throughout the 1930s and into the decades to follow, Tomball prospered thanks to the oil fields. To celebrate the Humble Oil Company gusher that started it all back in 1933, the Oil Town USA Jamboree is an afternoon of state fair fun, food, music and more at the downtown depot. From a pie eating contest and iron skillet tossing, to live tunes, antique cars and historical memorabilia, this festival is fun like it used to be. Admission and parking are free. Gates open at noon.
